Another New Year

Well... since I typically write this on breaks from company time... I have not written since I went on vacation for the holidays! My Christmas was wonderful... my New year's Eve... annh... been better. Christmas surprise this year.... A beautiful jewelry chest that stands close to 4 feet tall (From my two wonderful related Santas...) and it holds.... almost all of my jewelry... it's probably time to pare down, and an aqua lung wet suit from my boyfriend. (Open Water Dive Certified ... so this is exciting) Funny that my friends who know that I am madly in love with my boyfriend of almost 2 years. ... think that this no better than receiving a vacuum cleaner from my beloved.. they believe it is high time that he be giving me a ring. While I agree it is time to get a ring... I also am very excited about the wet suit and was not expecting a ring so therefore was not disappointed. However, New Year's Eve was another story. My sister threw an incredible Alcohol free party. We had the whole family there and friends of the family that might like a place to go where they could take their kids with them. Of COURSE ... my boyfriend and his 3 year old were included in this event. They came and we all had a good time right up until 11:30pm. With second possession in overtime on the Chick-Fil-A bowl of Auburn and Clemson Tigers... and 30 minutes before midnight my boyfriend decides to leave. No ... he's not mad at anybody and as far as I could tell, he was having a good time. Yes, his son was getting tired, but so were all the kids and they only had to hold out for 30 more minutes.
Well regardless of my thoughts.... he left and so our first New Year's Eve together and my first New Year's with any body special in years.... I STILL DIDN'T GET A KISS AT MIDNIGHT.

All in all it was an great holiday and I am over the new year thing.... since I understand the reasoning... tired kid, 45 minute drive home, tired himself, drunks on the road if he had waited... okay okay ... i get it!

Other BIG news from the holidays include two new babies> a friend of mine had a little boy on Christmas Eve that I intend to be very involved with and another friend had a little girl on New Year's Eve... which although not overly involved I am really excited and love holding newborns. I also had a dear friend of mine get engaged on Christmas day and am now having to plan a trip to New York for the wedding in April.

Sickness is not an option if you have newborns to hold ... they are only small once! Catch up with you later.
